If you're in the construction, roofing, electrical or waste management trades, you're already familiar with container hire as temporary office buildings. It is industry standard for building sites to hire our security fencing and "welfare units" too (the places where the sacred kettles or urns live).
Containers and More Blog
We were approached by a park contractor who wanted to hire a shipping container to provide storage and welfare facilities while they were refurbishing park equipment, which is often carried out in areas with no facilities. Security fencing was also required for health and safety reasons.
A roofing contractor based in the South-East approached us to help with providing some on-site facilities for approximately six months on one of their construction sites. The project required a secure storage area, an office stacked on top of the storage which included a staircase for access, and an on-site drying room and toilet.
We were contacted by a national supermarket who had an urgent need for additional commercial storage at several locations across the UK. Our 20ft containers are ideal for such a requirement, and due to the fact that we have multiple depots across the United Kingdom we were able to supply to site, offloading with a lorry mounted crane directly into their car park or yard areas.
In this case very secure storage! This 20ft container conversion was modified with location points for railings around the top of the container. The box section forming the railing posts were transported inside the container for fitting on site. Once delivered and offloaded to the customer, the railings were fitted as uprights all round the roof and connected with razor wire.
The store is being used for laundry and washing products. The nearby residents, while encouraged to wash, are prevented from free access.
